Terms and Conditions
Admission & Eligibility: Admission is subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria prescribed by CMC Maritime Academy and the applicable Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) guidelines.
Selection: Mere submission of an application does not guarantee admission. Final admission is subject to document verification, selection/merit requirements, medical fitness and other applicable admission procedures.
Medical Fitness: Candidates must satisfy the medical fitness standards prescribed for sea service by the Directorate General of Shipping and undergo examination by an approved medical practitioner, wherever applicable.
Original Documents: Candidates shall produce all required original educational, identity, age and other supporting documents for verification. Admission may be cancelled if any information or document submitted is found to be false, incorrect or misleading.
Fees: Course fees and other applicable charges shall be paid within the stipulated timelines. Fees once paid shall be governed by the Academy's prevailing refund and cancellation policy.
Course Commencement: Batch commencement dates, schedules and other academic arrangements are subject to confirmation and may be revised due to administrative, regulatory or unavoidable circumstances.
Residential Programme: Candidates admitted to residential courses shall comply with the Academy's hostel, mess, uniform, discipline, attendance, safety and campus regulations.
Attendance & Training: Candidates must maintain the minimum attendance, academic performance, practical training and other requirements prescribed by the Academy/DGS to successfully complete the course.
Discipline: Candidates are expected to maintain professional conduct and comply with all Academy rules. Serious misconduct, indiscipline, unauthorized absence or violation of regulations may result in disciplinary action, including termination from the course.
Regulatory Changes: Eligibility criteria, course structure, training requirements, medical standards, fees or other conditions may be revised in accordance with directives issued by the Directorate General of Shipping or other competent authorities.
Certification: Successful completion of training does not automatically guarantee issuance of any certificate unless the candidate fulfills all academic, attendance, assessment, medical and regulatory requirements applicable to the course.
Placement Disclaimer: Admission to or successful completion of a course does not constitute a guarantee of employment, sponsorship, onboard placement or sea service unless specifically confirmed through a separate written agreement.
Information & Updates: Candidates are responsible for providing valid contact information and regularly checking official communications from the Academy regarding admission, training and other requirements.
Right to Amend: CMC Maritime Academy reserves the right to modify admission procedures, schedules, training arrangements and these terms and conditions when required, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
Acceptance: By applying for or accepting admission to the Academy, the candidate and parent/guardian, wherever applicable, shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the applicable rules, regulations and terms & conditions.
